The Blossoming Kindness School Initiative developed school programmes, for 4 to 12 year olds students, geared with social Emotional Learning tools (SEL) to fully embrace students from diverse cultures and nationalities worldwide.
The benefit of combining SEL tools is that it enables the children to regulate their emotions and behaviors in the outside world. According to CASEL (Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning), a survey of 762 educators from 15 countries by The Economist Intelligence Unit found that 80% of educators believe positive emotions are critical. Further explaining its importance for academic success, emotional well-being is crucial for developing foundational literacies and communication skills. Not only do the students improve on a social and emotional level, but on an academic level as well.
Measurement tools will be provided in the programme, in order for the schools to deeply understand the scale of school climate before and after the programme has been implemented. The activities will allow the school to quantify and qualify the impact of the Blossoming Kindness School Initiative on the students, teachers and community.
